At Good Life Physical Therapy, we strive to give each patient the advantage they need to succeed in their sport, work, or home environment. We are a collaborative team of providers bringing new, innovative, therapeutic treatments to the city of Grand Rapids. We believe that the best therapy means treating patients and members of our community like family.

Good Life Physical Therapy is an outpatient orthopedic clinic with two locations in Grand Rapids with a primary focus on providing top quality physical therapy care to our community. We use a number of new, innovative methods that are unique to the Grand Rapids area. We specialize in high quality manual therapy utilizing a variety of special techniques including mobilizations and manipulations, Active Release Technique (ART), ASTYM and Functional Dry Needling (FDN). FDN is a strong focus of our therapy approach and we are recognized as the leaders in the greater GR area in this treatment area. We are highly specialized in all patient populations and enjoy treating athletes, active geriatrics, women’s health, chronic pain, TMJ treatment, and many specific orthopedic conditions.

We are looking for a highly motivated, personable individual willing to be a strong team player and leader. We place emphasis on manual therapy and hope to find someone skilled in a variety of techniques and willing to learn some of the specialized techniques that our clinics offer. Our clinics welcome a physical therapist who prioritizes compassion, patient care, and individualized attention for each client.

Clinical Requirements

  • Physical Therapy License
  • Highly focused manual therapy knowledge and practice– ability to spend 30 minutes of manual attention with clients
  • Knowledge of mobilizations and manipulations
  • Willingness to learn new muscle release techniques if not certified in ART, Astym, or functional dry needling
  • Understanding of gait analysis, both running and walking
  • Ability to speak comfortably with clients, help them feel welcome, and treat them like you would your family or friend

Recommendations

  • Continuing education certifications in specialties of applicant’s choice
  • 2 years of experience is desired though not required – (we will consider new grads)
  • Applicant is an active individual who knows and understands a variety of sports and how our athletes’ current deficits affect their return-to-sport
  • Openness to provide pro-bono time outside of normal clinic hours
  • Spanish speaking – always a plus
