Dr. Brad Johanson, a proud MSU graduate from Lansing, MI (GO GREEN!), is a dedicated healthcare professional with a diverse background. After obtaining a finance degree and working in that world for 8 years, he experienced personal health challenges that led him to embrace a holistic approach to wellness. Inspired by his own physical therapy journey after a running injury, he pursued a career change to help others facing similar struggles.

He obtained his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Emory University in Atlanta, GA, and then began his career specializing in spine and chronic pain treatment. He earned his Orthopedic Specialist certification and has advanced training in functional movement patterns of the body, manual therapy from multiple disciplines, Neurac Redcord training, trigger point dry needling, advanced vestibular treatment, pain sciences, and advanced clinical reasoning.

With a belief in a holistic approach, Brad aims to identify the underlying causes of pain and dysfunction. He believes the bio-psychosocial model can strongly influence each individuals pain perception, beliefs, and management and that each person should be treated as an individual, and not just a diagnosis.

Outside of work, Brad enjoys spending time with his wife and two young kids, engaging in outdoor activities like hiking, biking, snow skiing, and camping. He also finds joy in the creative outlet of cooking, experimenting with different flavors and techniques. Being back in Michigan after 15 years in Atlanta allows him to be closer to family and embrace the beauty of the state he loves.
